Default Yenko 400 Camaro

I can't remember the post, but I think someone asked about a '71 Yenko Camaro with a 400 block in it.

This car was apparently submitted to GM under a COPO request and denied. Ironically, the car was referenced in the "1971 Yenko Turbo Stinger Vega Questions and Answers" brochure. Question #19 reads; 'What about the Yenko 400 Camaro?' Answer reads; 'We were forced to shelve this special vehicle because the cost for the basic unit was, we felt, prohibitive. It was going to start at around $4900.00.' This is not to say that a prototype didn't exist, but I don't think they were produced in any quantity.

At the end of this brochure it says, 'please note the following new dealers; Bob Salter Chev. Pensacola, FL, Lyman Chev. Kent, OH, Adcox-Kirby Chev. in Chattanooga, TN and Capitol Chev. in Nashville, TN.' I thought the two in TN were already in the network since they sold some '68 and '69 Yenko Camaros.
