Default Fred Gibb show

Just a quick reminder that this weekend, August 4th, is the annual Gibb show in LaHarpe, ILL. I went two years ago and had a blast. I am planning on attending again this year with my Camaro. For more info, LaHarpe has their own webpage, with a link to the show. Tom

I would love to go this with one of my 68 ss Novas big blocks but due to the volume of my work I know I'm going to miss a really great time.I would love to see the actual area and dealership of Fredd Gibb ,after all if it wasn't for him there would be know 68 Chevy II Nova 396 SS Copo cars and of coarse the 69 Camaro ZL1.Great man wish I could have met him and shook his hand and said thanks for your part in createing the COPO program. My thanks and admiration go out to the Gibb family. A friend of mine who lives in Galesburg, met Freds secretary. After talking with her she found some old memorabilia she had stored away.He bought it all from her including some very nice Gibb Dealer jackets.
Just recently he found all the old original furniture Fred had in his Customers waiting room, lounge etc.
Looks like items from the Mike Douglas show.

Good time had by all. Under the "big top" were 4 ZL-1s, 4 '68 Gibb Novas and a '67 Z (Little Hoss). Also on display were a '69 Yenko Camaro and 3 Yenko Deuces. Most coming to the Supercar Reunion. Weather was hot and humid, but at least no rain. Maybe a little hotter under the tent, as that was where the owners of the supercars were gathered. You know how it is when you get a bunch of us together. Tom
