Could someone provide me w/the correct Stewart Warner model number for the tach installed by Yenko in the 69 Camaros. I know it is 977, but what letter designation follows the 977. Thanks, CB

CB,
According to the INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS sheet for the 970 series electronic tachometers with 990 series ignition monitors, the tachometer itself is listed as Model 977 Series (which feature a unique pedestal head assembly). There is no letter designation for the tachometer. Are you referring to the ignition monitor ? If so, use Model 990-B for Standard Battery Ignition installations. Kent '68 Malibu ZZ502/502 ![]() |

CB,do a search on this site. There is a great post by BKH on this tach and what the numbers after the 970 and 977 designate.I believe it is the type of face used, black, custom,or degree of the sweep and rpm range.I do have a 1969/70 SW catalog with all this info but not at my side.Feel free to email me for specifics if needed.
