Post Real L78 Nova..??

Couple of things jump out at me...

-throttle cable use didn't start until around January 1970...the tag says this is an 11B car...2nd week of November. Grille and headlite bezels are non-SS. I don't see holes in the front fenders for 396 badging. Of course, the front end sheet metal could have been swapped at some point.?? I would check under the gas pedal to see if the kick-down switch is there...it could have been on the carb since this is an earlier car...lots of transition items in the fall of 1970.

Fuel line, heater core and other details do point to a big block...

needs a lot of body work...and without documentation it is a big lift.

I thought you couldn't get power steering with the high horse big blocks? Of course someone could have swapped it.

Looks like that pass fender had the side trim on it. Isn't that linkage hanging on the subframe the column backdrive? Weird if it is, being they were always missing. Edit: Never mind, I looked at the ad, and saw it's a floor shift auto.

Power steering was available on the L78...more common on the automatic cars.
