Been pondering looking for a C8. I'll probably be looking for an early convertible, but wasn't sure if it's better to get the convertible or just the regular one with a removable top. Just starting this endeavor, so appreciate any info from owners or those knowledgeable, thanks.

Love mine - 2023 convert - 2LT
love the look with the roof up and down which is key. Many with the other yrs removable tops - i dont like the look , but with this integrated, i cannot be happier. Mine is 2LT, bought it used with 3K miles, now has 4K miles, superb comfort, handling and performance. One thing it takes getting used to is the transmission - when u lean into it and back off the throttle, the trans stays engaged in the lower gear, waiting for you to put your foot back into it - kinda of a track performance design. Many discussion on the vette site about this. I even thought there was an issue with my trans, but that is the way it is designed. To overcome this, they tell you to paddle shift it up a gear manually. Other than that - very very happy with it.

I recently bought a used 2024 ERay HTC and love it. This is the fastest street car I have ever owned and it drives like a regular Corvette. Mine is a 3LZ with the carbon fiber wheels and the carbon ceramic brakes, which come standard on the ERay. I really like the brakes, and their absence of brake dust. However, I don’t think I would step up for the wheels if I were buying one new. The wheels are a $15K option, and I am very concerned about damaging one. The C8 is a big improvement over the C7 I had a couple years ago.

I keep flirting with getting one and prices on low mile used ones have dropped dramatically.

I would remove ANY of the OEM Wheels (especially the carbon fiber) and order
Aftermarket Forged like I just got for my old (POS) 2012 Grand Sport............ These wheels were mfg in beautiful downtown Shanghai but resemble the $12K wheels made in USA

The C8 is amazing, and I don't think you will be disappointed if you buy one. I have a 2023 coupe and after three years it's still a blast to drive.
