Default Unrestored '71 Pantera Project

Always wanted an early Pantera...but not one this rusty. According to the seller the car spent its life in the Southwest, but was under a tarp (and presumably, close to the ocean). I'm sure it will be restored in any case...awesome car.

----Tony,,,My cousin bought a brand new 72 Pantera and babied it to death for two seasons (never wet, never in salt, etc.). After the second winter stored in my fathers garage he pulled the cover off and discovered that he could stick his pinkie finger thru the gap between the roof and the windshield. He made the wise decision to move it out of his ownership!....Bill S

Unfortunately, the early Panteras have incredible rust problems. None of the metal was ever treated and moisture did not drain at all

That’s wild. Reminds me of the couple Alfa GTVs I owned in the past. Seems like they were delivered new with rust.

----I believe Pantera's were sent by boat to the IS, and therein lies the problem!....Bill S
