Sam Posey performs a comparison Road Test for Car & Driver. Just an observation, it appears the Mustang is quite warmed over, by the look of the wheels, tires and stance. The Camaro Z28 w/crossram appears quite pedestrian in appearance.

The Mustang was a 302 tunnel port prototype. Ford had every intention of building it for the street but cost and on-track engine failures in Trans Am racing in '68 kept it from happening. They killed it. This was the only car produced and history says it went to the crusher.
