Default Frisby Tire Company

Frisby's is a local family owned tire business here in Ottawa that's been in business for 103 years! With 5 locations. They were also a Toshiba dealer. They were known as Frisby The Vulcanizer when they opened in 1920.I've been dealing there since around 1971 and have gotten to know Don and Dennis ,the owners.Back in the day have bought Goodyear Polyglass tires,American Racing wheels,8 track players,Toshiba home stereo and even a small apartment clothes washer for my girlfriend at the time. They have now sold out to Kal Tire and it's kinda sad to see them go.Few months ago I asked Don to give me one of their signs when they were taken down.Got it the other day. It's a fair size,8'x4'.Gonna put it in the garage or the man cave.Unfortunately nothing stays the same anymore.

Yep, it's always sad to see a long time, family owned business either close or get sold. At least they seem to have been bought out by another private company, not another "one world" multi national corporation.

Sad to see them go. We had them maintain our company fleet vehicles at their Trainyards location and they did a great job. That was nice of the owners to give you a sign as a keepsake.

What a great sign to have, given your history with the family.
