Default Parts Catalog “Resto” TA

I’ve never seen a more incorrect TA let alone at a low mile survivor price, the more you look , the more you see is wrong. What do you see wrong.

----Saw the "Vanguard" and didn't have to bother with the pics. They pretty much love shiny stuff, and we all know shiny stuff sells,,,LOL!...Bill S

Ugh, don't get me started on Vanguard and their prices. They overprice the hell out of everything. They've got a squarebody truck for 150k, and... well... the way I want to talk about someone who would spend 150k on a squarebody is probably not within the site's rules. Everything I understand is most their stuff goes overseas and that has to be true.

Ain't no fun in viewing your car as an 'investment'. Get out there and beat on it!

It’s a Kraft “cheese” car I’ll bet, I see him in Dayton, I avoid the guy. At my booth, prices are real high when he walks up.

I’ll start a tally
——————————
No blue valve, or the black/white check valve, temp sensor moved there to camo the hole, so EGR is not set up, missing parts
Perf pkg tray
No Guide lamps, Wagner AM head lamps
Choke has missing vac line to Aircleaner
Heat tube missing
Master looks wrong and not black
Wrong exhaust
AM accumulator, prob 134
Booster filter laying down
Master cover not cad
Over flow cap, pre 78 color writing
Jack base blue , 1979
No silver line on map pocket
Shifter knob sideways
Radio knobs wrong, radio looks to be After Market
Wipers not hiding correctly
Safelight windshield, I’ll bet all glass is safelight crap
Dash pad doing the “camaro” warp at metal
Rad shroud wrong, no decal there too. (403 shroud?)
Wrong wheel caps, 79-up. I’ll bet wheels are Chinese knock offs.
Interior has the SEM dip. Color looks off too.
Wrong rad cap, not even second design.
Missing choke shield, hard part to find, bolt is even harder.
Missing foam on ac hose and strut
Ugly battery no freedom topper
Looks like a late VIN to have hurst tops, I Don’t see a hurst bag in the trunk, good luck finding it.
No insulator on fuel line
No metal line on PCV line

What do you see.

I have never bought anything from Vanguard, but they did buy my Porsche 930 a couple years ago and I have to say the transaction was the easiest car sale ever, smooth and trouble free.
I dealt with Tom, he sent someone over to look at the car and was on the phone with them at the time, 15mins later the guy hands me a check and leaves...without the car LOL
A couple days later a very nice guy with a truck and enclosed trailer picks it up and away it went, I did see it advertised on their website a couple weeks later for more than I sold it for, but that's business and I was happy with what I got for it.

Is the place a consignment place?
I’ve never been there.
