Default R. I. P. Curt Biro

It is with a very heavy heart that I am posting this thread. The Chevelle community has lost another great guy. Sadly, Curt passed away this morning after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Curt was a regular on Team Chevelle for many years and had a lot of friends at the Registry as well, it's probably the older members who will remember his tenacity with every project he ever undertook. The restoration on his 67 Chevelle L78 was among one of the best in the Country. His 67 Chevelle won Muscle Car of the year in the AACA Judging Circuit and he attended the National Banquet in Philadelphia, which is a huge award to win. His 67 was Judged againt every Muscle car in the AACA Circuit in the Country, that are the best of the best. Prayers are Welcome for his wife Lezlie and his three children Kenny, Kelly and Christie. He will be sadly missed !!!!! Sorry for the sideways pictures just don't know how to fix thaem

----Sorry to hear this. Wish I had known him. Can't quite tell, but is his L78 a convertible? One rare L-78 if so....Bill S

Damn, that is not what I wanted to hear. Curt was a great guy and would do just about anything for you. I bought a ton of parts from him in 2012 so what does he do? Delivered them to me free of charge. Nice delivery vehicle too!

You will be missed sir. Condolences to all his friends (and he had MANY) as well as his family.

Hey Rick, that plane that Curt owned was the fastest single engine Mooney, they could really scream. Even in the sky he had the need for speed. We had a lot of fun down here in Jupiter with that 4 seater, we'd be in Naples for lunch in no time !!!

Didn't know him but sorry I hear of his passing I'm also a pilot and would likely have really enjoyed talking with him. I even have done some flying in that area of Florida and almost bought a house in the airpark in naples. Makes you wonder how many people with similar interests you just miss meeting in life.
May god bless him

Condolences to family and friends. He decided to sell the '67 L78 when he was diagnosed with serious health issues and we helped the car find a new home. It was quite an adventure as we were also involved with finding the original engine and reuniting it with the car. He was a true Gentleman and car enthusiast through and through!

Here are some pictures of Curt's pride and joy in the listing we had for the L78

Sad to hear this - I remember following his restoration threads over at Team Chevelle.

Condolences to his family.
