can some one tell the correct fuel pump no# for a 1968 z28 date is production JULY 68 i was told 40524 is this correct.

That's the AC #.
Chevrolet recognized it as 6416886 box #.

FWIW that is the "LG 40524" is what is stamped on the side of my Dec 67' Build LOS 68 Z28. AC Fuel Pump.
