Default 68 Camaro Pinchweld Moldings, Rear, Convertible Top

Please see pics. Trying to find schematics or pics of the 68 convertible Camaro Pinchweld stainless steel Moldings (Rear) and snaps that screw into the pinchweld moldings. The car I am working on has the pinchweld or well moldings, but is missing the snaps that screw through the moldings. Also, 17 holes are present in the moldings on this car and most likely not the correct number of screw snaps required. Thanks in advance.

They did not use snaps, someone drilled those holes. They originally used clips that snapped over the stainless trim.

Sorry for the bad news,

Jason

Those weren't factory so any number of snaps drilled into the moldings would be incorrect.

Thanks Gents I am truly grateful for your responses.

My suspicions were right; just seemed like too many holes, hack job appearance, etc. And I see Rick's Camaros sells a set of four snaps most likely for the two front pieces that hold both sides of the boot, so only four snaps are required- two for each side.

How do I find schematics for the correct parts and correct installment process to ensure the car is factory correct? A blue print to ensure the car is factory correct. Would investing in a 68 Camaro factory assembly manual be the only option? Thanks in advance.

And I see many companies sell the repop moldings; can either of you recommend a company that sells the best repop moldings and convertible boot?
