Hey Chevy owners:
I have a 1968 Camaro 327/210 hp 3sp mt no ac and would like to know the correct factory color for the dip stick tube. Most say galvanized steel, others say semi-gloss black and still others mention Chevy orange (same as the engine color). What is the correct color looked for by the judges if I enter the car in competition? Need some help. Many thanks. Tommy68 |

What most are telling you is correct IMO as the tube was not painted in survivors I've looked at, and it was installed on the engine dress line at the car assembly plant.
