Default Chev 350 Iron Intake Factory Q-Jet ?????

In the process of having 73' L-65 2bbl engine COMPLETELY rebuilt by
high quality local machine shop (ACTION Machine/Shoreline,WA)

+.30 Bore, 10/10 Crank, New everything, Pump Gas........suppose to make
around 300HP........Just a nice running, driving engine going into rebuilt/restored 73 RS/LT Camaro that I want to flip after completion.

Wanting to use factory 4 bbl intake and Q-Jet. Does it matter what year
intake I use ??
I've located a 1970 L-48 manifold and Air Cleaner (No carb core yet)

What/where would be good source of driver quality Q-Jet ????? (Ive sent Email to Eric J)

Since it's not a numbers car the 70 intake should work fine. I'm sure any small block QJ from that vintage can be rebuilt to work with what you have[think Eric]

I guess I should know for sure, but their may be a difference between the 4 spd air cleaner and the auto version...automatics used the heat stove gizmo.

Air cleaner worth quite a bit if chrome lid type(non full size) sell it and pay for whole set up and use a different air cleaner. If not a numbers car, buyer probably doesn't care what's on it.

If originality doesn't matter that much, a 76-79 era M4MC would be the best choice. It can easily be converted to an electric choke, and has some nice features that earlier models do not have. Make sure you get one that has not been butchered by a commercial rebuilder.

If the '70 manifold has heat riser passages leading up to the carb base, make sure you plug these, regardless of what Q-jet you use.
