Default L89 Camaro

With all the talk of L89 Camaros lately always wondered where this on went. A friend of mine who passed away about 8 years ago had a Hugger Orange L89 with supposedly around 300 miles on it and Canadian documentation. Was suppose to have been a drag car its whole life. He sold it around 15 years ago or so out of New Hampshire. This is always that one that you say "why did i let that one get away" . Have always look but have never seen it pop up anywhere.

I owned it several years ago. Tried to reunite something important I have with it years ago , talked to someone who said he owned it, but I think he may have just said he was the owner to get the item or find out more about the car .

It was already 11 years ago, back in 2005! Oct of 68 car, 500 miles, it was just a rolling shell, no front clip.
I haven't seen it pop up either...

Yes it was a roller. He paid like $6000 for the car back then. Surprising it has not been done up. Even restored with all correct parts and that paperwork very desirable car.

What was odd is it showed 400 miles on the odometer but had 3 paint jobs. One white, one red after the hugger orange. The canada title shows it white.

I looked at this car twice, when it was for sale here in Ontario.
The first time it was totally disassembled as the guy was getting ready to work on it, but changed his mind.
The second time I saw it, it was sitting beside the 31,000 mile L78 that I now own.
Hindsight being what it is, I should have borrowed the money and worked out a deal for the two cars.
At that stage of life, my wife would never have understood or allowed that.

I actually tried to buy the car after it left NH.
Someone on this board knew of the car and it was apparently for sale.
That was the last that I heard of it.

I think that I still have the GM Of Canada paperwork for that car.
I may still even have my notes on it.

What happened to the hugger orange L89 that was in North Carolina? Had Xt's was owned by the guy that found the 69 Ralley Green Yenko Nova with black hat, the 69 Yenko nova that Kevin Hand owned. He had a couple of Yenko's and a COPO or two and the L89.
