Gentlemen are there any companies around anymore that sell 14" tires looking for some 50 series raised white letter tires and I haven't been able to find anyone that still sells these. Picked up a very nice set of 14" cragars and I need to replace the tires. Thanks

I guess your looking for a modern radial. A few still offer a decent 14" selection but 50-Series I think is slim to none. For white letter, would have to be BFGoodrich's or the brands by TBC Corp (http://www.tbcbrands.com/) through tire outlets which typically have a "Cosmetic Performance" line (many names, many labels).
Bias-Ply reproduction offers some other ranges. Its' not easy. I've about given up on the Bias-Ply look as sizes are limited (most are too tall). Even 15" are limited selections. Trying to stay away from busy sidewalls too. Paul |

As Paul referred,it's slim pickings out there for an authentic new 14"Bias-ply tire.Especially a 50 series..I did find a pair of older 14" 50's that were just too far gone and beat.Makes sense as I can't see anyone buying em 35 years ago not using them for what they intended.
Here's a good representation of what's on the 14" Bias repro market today.(15" incl. in here too) http://www.summitracing.com/search?SortB...14%20bias%20ply |

I just bought a nice set of cragars and the back rims are 14"/10" and just looking for something that would look good on the 10" rim for my 69 Chevelle. I really like the pro tracs however there not available anymore in 14's that I can find.

Yes I really like the look of these tires kind of a day 2 look but doesn't appear they can be bought in 14". I also like the Bf Goodrich tire but the biggest I see is 245/60-14 and according to the supplier the max wheel width they recommend is 8.50 wide

As for Goodyear reproductions, G70-14's are the widest 14". For the 15", I can go as wide as the L60-15 Polyglas (equal to a 275/60-15 radial). E60-15 are the smallest 60 series 15". If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. My cell is 816-654-3400.

Check with GTO DON. I have a pair of Goodyeay L60-14 that on s scale of 1-10 are a good 8.5. 1 imperfection on 1 tire, otherwise darn near perfect. I haven't thought about selling them, but you never know.

Maybe a goofy question but can someone explain to me what the numbers mean on tire sizes. I know the rim size but is there a break down on the first two sets of numbers and how about he letter that placed in front of the 50-60 number. If that makes any sense lol
