I have a set of stock 290s on my LS5 454.
i also have a set of valve springs that were removed from a 1970 LS7 which i believe are the same as the ZL1/L88 springs along with thelong slot rockers that I want/need to switch too in order to run a bit more camshaft. anyone know if these are direct swaps without machining required? Or will the spring pads need to be cut? also - setup to stock LS6 specs (using the valves that are in my 290s) what seat/open pressures do these guys provide? Cheers |

The springs should work without any modifications.
I thought that the spring pressure should match your lift. For example.....a .520 lift needs 520 lbs./inch I would contact Comp Cams or equivalent and get their advice. Kurt
