Default My favorite type of muscle car:

1968 hemi GTX: Original owner, low miles, was used as intended, cool color. Even has its original wheels (last pictures show snow tires!).
It looks like someone just loved and enjoyed that car.

I wish I had some extra funds, I would go after this one! It would never leave my collection!

I sure hoep whomever gets it doesn't do a full resto. Cars like that should be left alone and enjoyed.

Wow I would love to clean that car up and leave it. The original rims are being auctioned off separate.

My FIRST car when I was 16 was a REALLY GOOD CLONE of a 1968 440 GTX convertible. 440 4 sp Dana 4.10's, black with black top, red interior. Car was nice and was "good" money in this part of Canada. I paid $4,800.00 for it. It was my second choice. I actually BOUGHT a 1970 Barracuda 440+6 4 sp Dana 4.10's. B5 blue with blue interior. Guy went away on business during winter and was longer coming home, so I was able to buy the GTX.

Now back in 83/84 is when this happen. The GTX was $4,800.00, the Cuda was $3,700.00. Both had really good paint and interiors were nice. To put it into perspective, Rene Destille (sp) was from Quebec. He was at a local show with his 70/71 Plum Crazy Hemi Challenger R/T convertible. At the time, this was a magazine car and he was ASKING $30,000.00 US at the time. We thought he was WAY outta line and would never get that. Man I should have bought that car and mortgaged a house LOL

The big body '68-'70 GTX's are some of my favorite Mopars of all time.

Mopars always seemed to be the choice of burnouts and pot heads back when I was growing up for some reason, but they have truly stood the test of time and look great now. I'd totally buy one if the right deal came up.

Love those quarter window decals! They give the car so much character. Leave it as is.
