Default Boss 302 question

Did all Boss 302 get a partial VIN # stamp on the engine block? Or is it common NOT to have the VIN # stamped on block? This is reference to a 1970. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

Default Re: Boss 302 question

Every original engine Boss 302 I've seen has had a partial VIN on the top rear of the block. 428cj cars I'm less sure of. I've seen/ owned a couple with date code correct motors that we couldn't find VIN numbers on.
