Wondering what vehicle this battery was used in from the Factory. NOS never been out of box. I know the S designates Heavy Duty, but not a lot of info out there on this model. What is the value of the battery, never had acid in it, still sealed. Thanks

Does your side case show R59S too?..reason I ask is the reproduction R59S battery they sell today,is really just an R59 case, with an R59S adhesive top decal.
I don't believe they've ever repopped the actual S casing.. Looks to be assembled March '69 from Delco's Oshawa Ontario Canada plant. Is there a number melted in after the letter O in DELCO near the positive terminal? |

The battery case has 20 burned into it after the O. The case has the complete R59S on it. The cardboard box has a date code of 1979 as shown in pictures. I found some other info that it will also fit GTO with the 455 engine.
Would anyone know a fair price for the battery, not a lot around to compare prices to. I will be selling the battery and just want a fair price for buyer and seller. Thanks. |
