Default Thoughts on original Magnesium TTs

I am mildly tempted to buy this set of magnesium Torq Thrusts and restore them for one of my cars. I understand the theoretical issues with fatigue and porosity, but have never owned a set of vintage mags. For those of you who have vintage magnesium wheels on your cars, can you give me some first-person accounts of your experiences? I am willing to deal with having to air up the tires before a drive, but I'm not sure how fragile they really are, and whether that takes them out of the equation for street driving. Thanks!

I have a set that I used to put on a Survivor 1970 LT1 Corvette for street driving. When I restored them I painted the inside of the wheel and never experienced any air leakage. By the way they survived 105 MPH at Charlotte Motor Speedway at an NCRS Regional.

No problems with mine - did have to add air occasionally though.

So, that means you guys are running tubeless on wheels without a safety-bead? I like the ease of not having to deal with finding/installing tubes but figured it was best with. I also can see it'd take a good side-load to unseat/shift the bead. Depends on how the vehicle is being used.
