Default Protect O Plate Question

Does this look original? I thought they used some type of tape for the name on the plate. Thanks

I have a stamped replacement for one of my cars with the owners information and VIN but the replacements I have looked at over the years typically do not have the drive train information included.

X2. I have a replacement protector plate for my 70Z project. There is no drivetrain info on it as the short block was replaced.

I have two 69 camaros, both big block cars. One built in late March and one second week of may. Both POP;s have the Trans, Motor, Rear end. Numbers on the POP. The Drivetrain info is stamped into the plate. But the owners names and address in tape. I have this stuff for a long time. Plus the orginal owner of one car is still around. BBBenny

I've seen some like that.
I think it may be a replacement, where as a warranty transfer POP lost the drivetrain info.

They are replacements. I have MANY in my data base and 98% of them have full drivetrain information. Only cars that were brought back for warranty work and got a replacement POP have limited information. At least that is my understanding.

I know I have a pic of two POP's.
Original.
Replacement with embossed owner info.
Owner found the original one eventually.

My 12B 69 Z has a warranty transfer plate dated Sept. 69 with no drivetrain information but does have the date car was sold new as 1-69 and the owners name and address. I am wondering if the name on the plate was the original owner or was the warranty being transferred to him.
