Default Saddest Day 2 Camaro....

Whew...no words. That's what a sub-$2000 first-gen Camaro looks like, I guess.

Poor car, I really like the look of it too. Reminds me of other cars from back then. A guy I worked with in high school had a 75 with metal flake, L-88 hood , Cragers and high jackers. All the look with a straight six under the hood. All show....no go!

If it don't go.....chrome it!

I see a business opportunity here:

Someone should buy this car, set it on a trailer and rent it out to guys who are trying to convince other "field find" owners to sell. When they owner says, "Not for sale, cuz I'm gonna restore it someday", you can drag this car up to his driveway and tell him that the prior owner of this gem said the exact same thing for 30 years until there was nothing left to restore. Then ask him if this is how he wants his car to eventually end up?

If he says doesn't look too bad...you can always sell it to him!

The last time I saw a car with the roof and sail panel so badly rusted, it had sat under a tarp in a humid climate for over 20 years. Wonder if this one was under a tarp too?

I know where there is an RS vert that is just like this...I've known the car since childhood...67 327 4 speed w guages..and 12 bolt w traction bar...the original owner died a few years ago and now the son (who is in Japan) is letting it rot some more.....the owner was a friend for years and I even painted his vette years ago...he parked the car along side his carport(not inside) atleast 30 years ago and even asked me about restoring the car for him back then. Had acover on it for a few years..but is now long gone... Since he passed the home is now owned by his daughter but the car is still there last i drove by....poor thing.

You know...if the TV show Walking Dead included zombie cars, this one would have a starring role.
