I'm sure some on here are familiar with this place. I stayed a night in Queens a couple of years ago while I was in New York and now wish I had of known about this place. Incredible story.

I've read about that place before and it's pretty fascinating. There's another story somewhere that mentions Thunderdome death matches occurring there at night.

Once again, a city plows under hard working men and women and for what? Another stadium?

I had visited that area many times when I was based in New York back in the early 90's. I was driving beater cars out there and they always needed something. You could get virtually any car part there or any repair done. I was amazing how many businesses were in such a small area. Not some place you'd want to visit at night, but pretty cool for the gear-heads during the day.

Reminds me of a place stolen cars would end up
being dismantled. Very cool to see. Dicky

Thanks for sharing this with us. Reminds me a lot of the auto shops in northern Mexico that we visited on our Tijuana trips....
