What is the length of a 69 Chevelle 12 bolt flange to flange ?
And I think any from 68 through 72 would work on a 69 Chevelle ?

Yes,and 1968-72 Chevelles 10 & 12 bolt both were 55.25" flange to flange.

The `68-`72 rears are 61" from wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface. The earlier rear ends are 1/2" shorter on each side for an OAL of 60".

I should have been a little more specific. I was looking for the distance between the axle housing backing plate flange.
