Default The new projects

I’ve been off the site for a while; I’ve been keeping my self-busy. Currently I have Leach SYC member or Barry Volkerts 1965 L79 in the shop for some mechanical and possibly body attention. Documented 1965 chevelle and what a solid car, it’s been more than 25 years since this car had a heartbeat. I’m looking forward to bringing it back to the roads.
The engine compartment is just starting to come back together. We are just waiting on the interior firewall insulation so I can get the heater box installed, inner fender and passenger side control arms before the motor is set.

The heartbeat all assembled waiting to be set into place.

After this project is finished, I have an original owner 1970 firebird formula 400 project lined up for the shop.

Not to mention my new project that I picked up last week. An old drag car, a 1955 chevrolet 210. This is going to be a fun project…….

Oh and I forgot my current weekend driver. We bought this in the spring, a 1952 Chevrolet ½ ton truck. It has an early 60’s 327 and a 3 speed on the floor. What a fun truck to drive around. This little trucks gets so many thumbs up it blows my mind.
Yes those are bullet hole stickers. I think the doors had every style mirror on them over the years. So an easy fix was to give my nephews each a sheet of bullet hole stickers and have at it. All I said was cover the holes first then put the rest where you want. They still talk about it. LOL

Plans for the truck are just going to be suspension. A Mustang 2 front end with disc brakes and new rear springs and shocks. Then drive it!!!!

The nova was a nice build even though it wasn't a so called super car it got over 100k hits on the build. Im just the average guy who takes a lot of pride in my work that I do with my two hands. For some reason it seems like a lost cause these days. Very sad that most people don't want to get dirty these days. But I'd rather work on them then drive and show them.

Barrys 65 L79 chevelle should be a blast to drive around when finished.

The truck and 55 are far from super cars but I may share some photos as I work on them. That will be about it.
