What's the story on this car? Cool story and killer with the factory M22, but the bidding seems awfully soggy on this auction. Anyone familiar with the car and can speak to its authenticity?

This is an absolutely beautiful car that has it's original M22 (with VIN) and strong race history. It is in the M22 registry as one of the M22 equipped Corvettes built in 1966.
It is a race car with no title, sold on bill of sale when I looked at it. I don't believe it has the trim tag or VIN plate, but please verify this if you are interested. I really liked this car when it went through Mecum Monterey in 2013, looked hard at it and fell in love. It was in the "Big Wreck" at Road America in 2005. I was there and saw the aftermath. Front end damage if I remember correctly. This car really is beautiful. |
