Dana,
Just got the latest issue of Vette magazine in the mail today and on the cover is a 63 SWC with an LS7 transplanted into it. The article is on page 20, but I haven't had a chance to read it. It is the July 2014 issue, so if you don't subscribe you may have to wait a bit to see it on the newsstand. I own a 2008 Z06 and this car is an absolute rocket ship. I would bet that motor in a C2 would be a lot of fun. But, Please don't do this to an original motor Vette! LOL. Dave |

Thanks for the heads up. My car is the farthest thing from original so do not fret. I think there is a thread somewhere on here about it. I want to go autocross it.

A light weight all aluminum 427 small block in a midyear sounds like a great combination for auto crossing. You probably already know this but IIRC the 2009 or maybe it was 2010 Z06's went to an 11 or 11 1/2 quart dry sump oil system whereas prior year Z's were 8 1/2. There are kits out there to modify the oil tanks on the 2008 and prior engines to bring them to the higher capacity, but you probably already knew this anyway. I think I would want the higher oil capacity if I was auto crossing. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.
