Default Project COPO cleanup

well, its been about 7 years since I finished the resto on my COPO Chevelle. Since it has been finished I have never been happy with the canshaft in the mnotor..ts a little big..sounds mean, but does'nt run worth a crap!....so I had Chris Straub grind me a up custom solid roller more along the lines of a stock cam rather than the "racey "cam that was in it. I suppose I could change the cam with the motor in the car, but I think I will pull the motor so I can clean and repaint some stuff, replace the repro exhaust manifolds that were temporary ( 6 years ago) as one of the originals had broken while assembly was going on...repaint the motor as it is peeling and showing some small leak/seepage around the gaskets. Here are some pics of the first day..more to follow:

AL, I had a friend that passed in 2003 that bought a COPO just like yours new.
How much history do you have?,his was a 4 speed black on black.

Sorry to hear about your friend..my car is out of Buffalo NY..and is Fathom green/black interior. I have info on the first three owners.
