Here is a bracket that was in a jar from the basement of an old Leeds plant employee here in Kansas City. I think it is a battery cable or speedometer clamp. I pictured a used one I took off a Chevy of some kind from'65 to '69 but I can't remember what. A Camaro battery cable fits it perfectly and it has a coating around the loop. It looks like it would bolt to the front cross member and make a direct line to the starter on some car. Any help is appreciated. Clint

Well, there's one on the frame of my '66 Caprice that holds the battery cable on it's way to the starter. I would guess it was used on a bunch of cars for the same purpose.

It might have been to hold the speedometer cable -- bolted to the power brake booster/master cylinder mount ??

That's good to know. I thought it was for a Camaro until I looked at my '69 and it takes a different style.

I think it is the bracket that holds the PCV hose on its way to the valve. It bolts to one of the intake bolts.

If it is, you have a rare unobtainable part there. Those were thrown away regularly.

I don't remember anything resembling this bracket on any Chevrolet engines PCV system. Do you have a make or model in Mind? I noticed another one in a parts lot that marxjunk had for sale a day or two ago here on Yenko.net. Clint
