CE4 is 74. 3970010 is 302, 350 2 and 4 bolt. L 14 8 isn't the casting date is it? The 292 heads are peanut plug angle plug heads with the blocked heat riser made in October 74. Great heads. I have them on my 302.

If L198 is back on the area where the bell housing bolts on may be the date. May read as Dec. 19th of 1978.

I don't think so. 010 blocks cast 1978 and later had a passenger side dip stick and a short ID pad.

I'm thinking that it is actually L 19 3 dec 19,73. Dave, check and see if that 8 is a 3!
