I picked these up today and thought I would share. The distributor testers show up from time to time but I have never seen a tune up unit like this one which is actually 4 removeable tester that could be swapped out for other units.
Before anyone asks, yes these will be for sale but the purpose of this post is to share something that others may not have had the chance to see. I imagine I will end up selling these locally due to the shipping hassles. It I get either of these units working(They may work as is), I will post videos if anyone is interested. Thanks, Jason Distributor Tester: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Yeah, I see the distributor machines come up from time to time, but haven't seen one of the engine testers since the 60's. By the early 70's everyone had gone to the scope and these were already outdated. Started turning wrenches for a living in 1971, and never saw one in use.
Cool pieces, even if a bit bulky.

Thanks Lynn,
I personally think that us what makes these old units cool. They are true 50s-60s pieces that most have not seen in years and sometimes attract more attention that the cars around them. Jason |

I agree.
What do the distributor machines normally bring in working condition?

I have not done enough research to answer that question fully. I see restored units for sake around $2500 and untested ones at $500-$750.

Cool items.
Condition & completeness is everything on these. Yours look to have that, and that application dial is a big plus on your distributor tester. |
