Wheel Cylinder Reconditioning

I'd like to have my original wheel cylinders rebuilt/ reconditioned. Since they are so rusty, I'm sure they will need to be sleeved. I could rebuild them myself but I can't sleeve them. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I've had good luck using Karp's brake service in Upland CA. They offer a re-sleeving service. I've only used them so far on Master cylinders and disc brake calipers but I'm pretty sure they can handle your wheel cylinders. They sleeve in stainless. Phone # for them is 909-985-0800 ask for Jeff.

I have used Karps also.They resleeved many sets of wheel cylinders,great work and excellent turn around time. Stay away from White Post. John

Whats wrong with White Post ? Have used them for MC's with no problem.

Mike, I think the objection to White Post is that they sleeve with brass. I think that's fine for a restored car that doesn't see many (or any) miles, but brass is much softer than stainless and I'd be afraid it would wear and scuff pretty fast from the piston movements.
Think of a Vega's cylinder wall compared to any Chevy V8!

Look what arrived today! Karp's sleeved them (with stainless)and rebuilt them. I circled the date code, but I can't make out what the characters are.
