Default Help from the Arizona members.

Looking like my wife and I are going to get the opportunity to move to Arizona this Fall. We currently live in Ohio, but have been coming to AZ at least once a year for the last 6 years or so.

We really love the areas north of Scottsdale (Cave Creek, Desert Hills, New River) and are looking for homes with RV garages (for cars obviously ) and many of the homes we like on our price range are on what looks like dirt/cinder roads.

We've spent time looking at homes in the Rio Verde area and those "dirt" roads are really rough. Some the of the nicer non-paved roads in the Desert Hills and New River don't seem so bad. Some of the real estate pictures of nice cars in the garages don't look filthy (even the tire treads look clean?).

I guess my question is, do you guys all live in town on paved only roads? We would really like to have some land (an acre at least). Should we avoid even a short dirt road if I want to have nice cars?

Appreciate any feedback.

Joe

The good thing about here is that the dirt roads don't get muddy very often.....but they still make a lot of dust. I would avoid them if at all possible. You might be poking down one at a slow crawl to avoid as much dust as possible, but the cowboy flying past you in his truck and trailer at 50 mph will negate all your efforts.

Thanks Bill. We've found a few on paved roads that we like and the market is still pretty good. Hopefully it holds until we can get everything in place and find the right property.

Plus, we have to sell our place here.......

A little scary, but we are chasing our dream and the company I work for is willing to let me set-up remote.

Got lots of work to do yet to make this happen but it's falling in place.

Thanks again.

Bruce,

Nice job on the video, was the first house with the big yard off the 17 &amp; Happy Valley? I have a close friend that lives in Perioa (Happy Valley &amp; Lone Mtn) that's in real estate there and he keeps telling me of the bargains. Hope you guys are well.

RV garage would be sweet for a hoist, What happened to the recession there though ? Those are 2x what DR get's for that house in DFW ..

DL </div></div>

Don, The houses that have 12 foot ceilings in the garages usually fit hoists okay...but the RV garages are great for stackers...

As far as the recession....the houses shown would have been at 550-600k pre-recession
