Nice looking car. I wonder about the history. Looks like quite a bit has been done to it. Some wrong parts, but still appealing.

Looks like they used Malibu interior (seat covers, door panels and carpet) during the restoration. I don't know if the 300 Deluxe door panels are reproduced...

My 300 deluxe is sporting Malibu seat covers as well.... but still retains the 300 door panels and floor mat. I do have the original 300 seat covers in a box.... but are in serious need of repair... Here is a pic of my interior(ignore the dash cap ).... note the door panels and the rubber mat...

Cool car Joe.

The yellow post car has just about everything non-300 in the interior. Also has hidden wipers, no brake hold-off valve and cowl vent screens.

No one is repopping the 300 interiors, although SMS can make it all with time and $$$.

Good catch on the wipers etc.... Though you can't tell by the pictures... but... I wonder if the BJ car still retains small sunvisors..... BTW - There appears to be too much space between the "SS" on the R/F fender.

I've been thinking about getting in touch with SMS to see if I can get the material needed to repair my original seat covers.... The stripes are still good on my original covers... its just the seating surfaces that are shot. I kinda like the stripes... BTT

Phil,

You are so correct, I went over this car thoroughly when it was at Mecum Fall in St. Charles.....this car has a lot of ?????`s. Definitely needs a lot, which highly questions its credibility.

*NOTE: This Chevelle is not in my Registry.

A good friend of mine looked at this car when it was brand new at Geyer. This just has to be the car because the salesman that ordered it really optioned it out wildly not even sure that the car would even even be built and sure enough, a short time later, it showed up on the transport. I wanna say that it even has either 4.56, or even 4.88's out back. My friend sat in it and almost bought it but he already had his year-old '68 L-78 Chevelle dialed in and running 12.30's. Geyer also sold the Silver ZL-1 '69 Camaro that Craig Jackson owns today. Geyer would put a sticker on the back of their performance cars that said "GEYER'S FLYERS".

Mark,

I believe your story of your friend 100%, however I`m not certain that this is the same car, this particular Chevelle was not wildly ordered. According to this suspicious window sticker, it came with a KK 4:10 and besides the L89 feature and the Special Paint.... the only option was tinted glass.

A while back there was a blue L-89 Chevelle "barn find" that was on ebay. There was a thread about it on Team Chevelle.
