I just found this post.. 4 years late...

Wellers Speed Equipment was owned by my father Lew Weller. Located in Blasdell, NY from the late 60's to the late 70's.

I'll ask him if he has any clue to the car or history.

Rob,

Welcome aboard Rob!.

Love to hear any of your dad's stories from back in the day!.
Do you still have any of the cool Speed Shop decals or parts left?.

Is your dad's company connected to Lew Weller Equipment Sales in Lakeview, NY or what it became after the Speed Shop days?.

Yes, My father is the owner of Lew Weller Equipment sales in Lakeview. In 1978 we moved to Chicago where he assumed a manager role in a Machine Shop. That venture didn't work out and we returned to the Buffalo area 9 months later. He worked for Buffalo Forge Co. for many years than went into business as an Independant Salesman for Peterson Machine Tool and several others machine shop equipment manufactures.

Unfortunatly we do not have any old memorabilia. Just some old photo's. We pilfered Dean Johnsons stock of old photo's from the old Niagara Dragstrip days but only a couple of the 69 Pro Stock Camaro and Comp Eliminator Chevy II... If anyone has any old photos sent them this way...

Last year was the first time in 22 years that my Fater stepped foot in a race car. Needless to say we are now racing a Bright Yellow Dragster at Lancaster.. err Dunn Tire Raceway. i'm getting my liscence this year and we'll be sharing seat time.

Good Times...
