Default Electric Fuel Pumps

I'm pretty excited to be able to post this picture. Grady got me working on finding these old pumps. I had not figured out the fuel delivery for my daughter Monica's L88 Nova, and this just made that choice easier!

We've all seen the duplex pumps, but has anyone ever seen the "Pro-Stock" triplex pumps? Notice the screws in the bottom of the bodies. Not sure what they are for yet, but I'll be going over these prior to installation. Both sets are NOS. The chrome "Pro-Stock" pumps were said to be off a Warboro display used at trade shows.

So what do you guys think?

Paul, Congrats on the find. Those will be a great addition to the L88 Nova.

So how fast or how much hp car a duplex pump handle vs a "Pro-Stock" triplex?

I've read that a single pump is good for about 250 hp. I know the special pulse damper on the discharge line helps to even out the pulses and is good for about a 30% increase in flow. I am speculating that singles are good for 250hp, the duplex is good for 500 hp and the triplex is good for 750hp. Rather than trust my speculation, I would love to know what people have actually done with these.

I was disappointed that this thread died so I figured I would give it a bump. Let me know if the pics need to be re-sized.

Here is a cool ad on the "Tandem" configuration. I really would love to see more on the Triplex / Pro-Stock so if anyone is sitting on anything, please speak up or let me know where I could find the info.

These pumps seemd to really be "Motion Specific", does anyone know if they were specially designed for Joel? I'm kinda suprised the way the ad is written.

Here is another pic of a Motion installation. Looks like Joel just took a chisel and punched through, then mounted them on the wheel well. One thing to notice is that they turned the one manifold so the inlet and discharge are facing the same way here.

Personally, I like where Grady's Camaro had them installed. Anyone care to show other examples of where / how pumps have been mounted?

I don't think this thread is named specifically for the Dupree pumps, so I would love to see the discussion also expand to any other popular pumps which were known tools for our favorite builders.

I've got this article on fuel pump evaluations. I know my pop used to run an SW 240 in his 57 Chevy, and it appears to be popular with Caroll Shelby. How about some of these other ones?

Who has lived with any of these pumps?
