Default OEM Style lug nuts

My source for OEM style 7/16-20 acorn lug nuts as used on the Chevelle and Camaro SS wheels has dried up. Does anyone have a source for correct style nuts? I need two complete sets ASAP. Thanks in advance.

I can't help you Rick, but will be following this thread as well. I get asked this question every so often by fellow Chevelle Club members.

Rick,
May I assume you are looking for ORIGINAL 69-7???? Lug Nuts as pictured below.
FYI, Ames Perf Pontiac sells repops of the 2nd design
short crown nut.
Ive seen very few Camaros with ORIGINAL 1st design lug nuts, and most owners dont know the difference...

Chuck,

Do you know when GM changed to the newer design? My 69 SS Chevelle has the original design as noted in your photos above. I've seen other low mile 69 SS Chevelles that had the newer design though. Any thoughts?

Phil Woj.

GM was using the second design on some of their full size trucks until the 1988s came out.

I would be happy with either of the two styles posted. I did get a call late yesterday from another member who was gracious enough to not only help me to locate them but will also hand deliver them to me. However, I do need more. He stated that Larry Patten sells these so I will check a couple more sources including Larry and AMES. Thanks for all the help.

Check with your local GM dealer. They were used on the earlier '80s full sized trucks with the rally wheels. Our '78 4X4 had them. You never know what GM still has in stock. It sometimes takes a good parts guy to find the stuff.
