i talked to guy a today i bought a computer from,he lives in Marysville.
his cousin has been at Honda 14 years, and was offered buyout if he retired, along with about 1200 other employees. he started at cycle plant, but that's been shut down. he was told if he didn't take the buyout, his hours would be cut,or would be terminated. not laid off,but terminated. ![]() Honda figures paying 6 months of unemployment benefits would be cheaper than keeping people on. they are also trying to weed out the older workforce, and getting those fresh college graduates in there on the assembly line ![]() they are also cutting hours in slow areas. the storage lot on 33 is over capacity. ![]() Honda is feeling it,too. well, their employees are.
