my 72 z28 came all original with the exception of the distributor... the distributor is #1112019 (70 yenko deuce or z28)... im restoring this car back to an all original car... need opinions: should i sell the distributor and purchase a nice correct looking one, or should i just keep the one i have??? i definetly dont have the pocketbook to get a correct 72z28 dist. (#1112095), the ones ive seen are 1k or more!!! and ive seen my current distributor bringing 600-800 and i sure wouldnt mind having the difference in what a repro. would cost (and use the difference on a few other parts i need)??? what would you gentlemen suggest???
thanks.... |

Since you already have the wrong distributor, it really shouldn't be a big deal swapping in another wrong numbered distributor just to keep the car running. You may as well sell it and then you will be part way to having the money to buy the correct one. At least the 1112019 is worth a lot more than some others numbers you might have gotten.
