Default Ocean City MD Cruise

Just got back from Ocean City, MD enjoying their annual Endless Summer Cruise. Think of it as a mini-Woodward Ave. I would guess there were 800-900 cars in the lot at the end of the pier and probably that many here and there and on the move. I'd say almost half of the cars were of the "pro-street" type, but with that many cars, there were plenty of other varieties to enjoy. The main drag is about 5 miles long, straight as an arrow and 3 lanes wide on each side. Plenty of places to park on the sidelines to watch the action. You get to see a LOT of cars up close in the lot at the end of the pier then see them and HEAR them cruise by. I didn't see any idiots or any mischief (other than very short displays).

So, here's a small taste. Many of the evening cruise shots are blurred (sorry) but the shutter speed was long due to the light. Enjoy!

Dennis, I know I haven't been on the job in a while, but I hope I still can retain my "credentials".

Friday night:

This guy had photos of both the truck and car in "as found" condition in fields, all bent, twisted and in very bad shape. The finished result was awesome!

I think you'll see more of this car later as we left town....

This has to be the longest and lowest convertible top I've ever seen.........

Here's one for Clarlie.........

Next stop, Saturday, daylight.

The weather was absolutely perfect all weekend, low 70s with a nice breeze and bright sun.

Awesome car!

And the big car matched the little car.........

This was an interesting car.....with paperwork

First time I ever saw this trunk panel...

Turns out, it was an optional decor group...

The weather brought out a lot of nice things....

A very interesting '62 Nova. Many early pieces, including the original aluminum radiator.

Photobucket lost my other pics. I'll be back later..........

I like the coverage Verne. Gutsy move takin' all those night time shots and the effect was full of energy. Thanks!

Great shots Verne!!

The '34 Ford & the truck belong to Earl Metzler. He's owned that '34 since his teen years and built it and the
truck all at home. He is an avid hot rodder who does some remarkable work!!

Continued........

Here's a couple for 427TJ.......

Lot's of red cars...

Bill should like this too. He was just pulling in. 396 in it now, but a 427 is in the build.

And here's one for a short person near Chicago......

This was a very nice car, so I also posted the tag. I don't know what to look for but I'm sure many of you guys do.

I LOVED this emblem!!!!!!!!!

A nice pair.........or was the caption for the last picture????

This was very interesting....

An "honest" man....

1960

Classic look!!!

Every man needs a supervisor when working on his car....

The camera just couldn't capture the shocking brightness of this Orange! One of one!

So, after the cars, what's left but to find a stool on the boardwalk with a cold one and look for other photo-ops.....

I don't understand it, but it "must" be appealing to SOMEONE.....

IT was breezy.............but not QUITE enough...

Time to retire back to the condo and settle in..

I would encourage anyone with a passion for cars to attend this next year. As the Beach Boys said, "Fun Fun Fun".

Verne

Oh yeah, one more thing once it's uploaded.......
