Is the T93 option part of the RS Package for 70 or is it something different????
My Z28 lists this as an option, I have a photo of another 70 build (Non RS) which does not show this option. I was curious I thought that any trim and lighting issues associated with the RS were included in that package. ![]() ![]() Thanks for the info if anyone has an answer ![]()

I've seen that nomenclature before on a 70-71 Camaros, and believe it is specifying the color of the actual light bulb itself...i.e. AMBER vs. WHITE/CLEAR when the Rally Sport package was ordered.I think this RPO is telling the assembler to use WHITE/CLEAR behind the white/clear reverse lens.
GM typically used an AMBER colored bulb whenever a seperate white/clear lens was used, per the Dept. of Transportation to offset and standout between the two colors. It's not a well known RPO and was sporatically listed on a few Camaros' docs. back then. Why it's not more commonly listed I don't know, but it did exist and has something to do with the electrical bulb circut on these cars. Chevrolet resurfaced that RPO recently on the 2002 Camaro-Firebird & C4 Corvettes. They list it as RPO T93 Smoked Lamps,Tail,Stop & Turn,Special. 1970-72 Malibu's had AMBER colored front bumper/fender turn signal lenses with WHITE/CLEAR bulbs behind them. 1970-72 Chevelle Super Sports had WHITE/CLEAR colored front bumper/fender turn signal lenses with AMBER bulbs behind them. I think notating RPO T93 on your car was telling the assembler to go against the usual norm during assembly. |

Rick,
![]() Thanks for the info, but I guess I'm still confused. The car has the clear lens in the front which has the amber bulb but the only clear lens on the back is for the reverse light?? The RPO on the build sheet says brake & tail??? ![]() I'm going to research on my end, if you find anything let me know. ![]()

Carl it's style trim or the chrome trim on the tail lamps. Standard with RS and optional on everything else. It has nothing to do with the color of the bulbs. They just talked about this on NastyZ28..

Don't see anything about it in the Assembly manual or Hoopers '70 to '73 Camaro book. I'll try to check with some other sources.

You guys are really good detectives. Didn't that same rule apply to 69 Camaros? But was there a code like T93 used?

I wonder if it was included on my build because of the new model for changes for 70 in order to avoid confusion on the line as to what was included in the RS package?
