Default RADIATOR CAP RC 15 DECODE

I have 2 caps that have rc-15 on them but I would like to know if the one cap without the circle around the rc-15 is a early or late to the one with the circle. The one with the circle is off my 67 442. The one without the circle came from Oldsmobile Enginering and has been chrome plated. Any clues?

That dimple pat'D w/o circle is circa 1966.It preceded the dimple circle cap by a few months..
I still don't believe that flat cap really brought $750.I have 8 of them & I'd sell each for $500 based on that.

In the above photos (67 442) the bottom one with the circle should be for a 67-68 Camaro, because the brass dimple is indented, with the ebay auction that cap is a 69 Camaro because the brass dimple is smooth across the top.

Howdy Sam, I am still thinking about the the Tasty Kakes that Marlin had at Carlisle. I think Marlin needs to bring some to SCR 11 and you need to come with him.

Wow did this thread go way off the road. So the cap without the circles around it is 66 and earlier if I'm reading this right. I knew you guy's would have the low down on this.
