Default Phoenix area Cruise spots ??

I will be spending the month of Jan 07 in the Scottsdale area,I just retired and I hate Ohio weather about 82% of the time.
Any info on local Cruise In's for the Phoenix area would be great, Links, mag's etc.
Thanks Mike

Mike, in the month of January, there's only one place to be.....the Scottsdale Pavillions at 101 (Pima Freeway) and Indian Bend Rd. on Saturday late afternoon & evening. For the most part, that applies the rest of the year, too, although there are some other smaller venues elsewhere in the Metro Phoenix area.

you lucky guy! Az. in Jan....does it get any better? I do remeber as a kid visiting Dayton, Ohio and remebering what a great musclecar hot bed it was back in the 80's. Have fun @ the Pavillions

83rd and Union Hills is another cruise spot...

Plus if you're here in January..you have got to go to Barrett Jackson, too!

There's usually a decent size group of us guys and gals there...

I got arrested cruising Central back in the late 70's. Still have a bad taste in my mouth over that one. Back in the day Central and Main street in Mesa was all there was.

Do they still cruise there?

Good times!

The cruise on Central...is not really cruise anymore from what I understand...it's more of a pain in the a$$.

Check the above referenced website forum for some interesting opinions...

Here's one...

If you missed the show you might condider yourself lucky. This event was a disaster. Homeless people begging for money. A cop for every car. Lousy location. I've talked with a dozen people this weekend at the Safeway on 83rd ave. cruise nite. Not one person I spoke with would go back.
