It looks like our passion for the past is being past to the next generation of Jeff-Sans. I was excited when my daughter started looking at muscle cars-classics.... instead of the usual Honda/Mitsu etc. I am looking for West coast help due to trans costs. My goal is to find and buy my daughter her first musclecar/classic ...she'll have 50% of her own cash in the deal so I'm pretty sure she'll take care of it.
we are looking in the $5-$8.5k range so anything far away would kill me. I am open to suggestions. I would be glad to pay a finders fee when we find the right car. Thanks...Jeff I'll be on my cell all weekend 1 831 214 2335 |

What did your daughter end up with Jeff? Great to hear that she prefers American muscle over the imports.

we bought her a lo-po 69 Mustang Grande 302 2V ...it is really a nice looking little ride....not fast enough to get out of it's own way, super clean though. She is really proud of it.
The thing is wandering all over the road, I hope I didnt make a huge mistake..I hope it's just something simple in the front end? The right front tire is a little more worn than the left. |

Put some BFG Radials on it.
New tires makes a HUGE difference! Check the center drag link... if the 'Stang is not tame.

the last owner sent me the packet of paperwork yesterday. in'02 when he bought it from the estate of the orig owner, he sent it to a shop that freshened up the heads and a long list of things that a car of it's age would need...around 6k for the final bill. the car does have 205 14 radials..new sept '04 and they look lke it. The Pass side looks slightly more worn...outer edge not inner edge.
additional paper work shows a front end rebuild last sept as well, he claimed his daughter hit something and he needed to buy a new wire hub cap...maybe covering something up? Maybe she hit something after the rebuild and tweaked something? It's going into the shop Friday to have the front end looked at. I hope I wont get hosed for trying to do a good deed. thanks for everyones imput...my daughter loves the car. |

we had a 73 Mach-1 they can be made to drive right but usually took a couple shots at the car to get it right, we always had to drive it with the front end guy right after doing it and it would take a couple tweeks to get it right, seems the factory specs would get ya close then go from there, was told it was due to how ford decided to run the goofy shock tower desighn. anyway tell the tech to take the car to lunch when he is done and get it up to freeway speeds to make sure it is right..I love how they drive around the block at 20mph and give the rigs back to you today..

this kinda reminds me of the time a co-worker gave me a free kitten for my oldest daughter...the first weekend it got into a fight, got it's eyes messed up and wound up costing me $800.00.
here we go! |
