Default Ebay: Second Chance Offer Scam

Caution! Latest Scam... You receive an email on an item you bid on but did not win. The seller offers you the "second chance offer" at the price you bid to. It is a fake email with all of the pertinent information taken from the real auction. The fake seller will ask for payment in a non conventional way. He will say " I am out of town and need the money sent to me thru money transfer".

A friend of mine, a first time Ebay buyer, just sent $4,000 for a motorcycle offered to him thru a second chance offer. It was a fake e-mail. He is now out $4,000

Please be careful.. contact the seller listed on the original auction.
