Here is the history on how this car came to be: http://www.ramblerrogue.com/maverick.htm This car was one of James Garners American International Racing (AIR) team cars. They had ten and only two were 4WD. Hope you guys can expand your horizons and enjoy this one, it's a real oddball. ![]() The AIR decal ![]() Some sponsors ![]() The drivers names. Frickers name was misspelled ![]() Numbers on the roof and night driving lights up high to reduce glare. ![]() Strap into the deist belts and settle into the comfy sofa you got to sit on for 500 miles through the desert ![]() Ignition key kept on a lanyard ![]() Engine was set back over a foot to compensate for the added weight in the front from the 4WD differential. Check out the modified firewall and radiator set back. ![]() Front differential ![]() Dual front shocks ![]() Undercarriage ![]() Having a well deserved snooze |
