I have had a set of bumperettes that I bought for my 72 Monte years ago, but never installed. These are NOS and are still in the GM boxes with the bagges instructions and nuts. I get conflicting reports on what they will fit. Will they fit a Chevelle or are they Monte only? Part #'s are.... 994220 and 994251. What will they fit and what kind of value are they worth???

Peter,
The part numbers you give are not in the regular parts books because they are for an accessory kit. The numbers were discontinued in '75. If you can find an accessory parts book prior to '75 the numbers should be listed. If you know they are correct for a '72 Monte, the fronts will interchange with '70-2 Monte, Chevelle and El Camino (#3968503-4). The rear guards would be Monte only '70-2(#3974019-20). I have seen the fronts advertised form $100-250. There is not as much demand for the rears because the '70 SS did not use them. Hope this helps. Dave |
