Breedlove AMX's
Both the #1 car and #2 car are within a hour's drive of each other here in Michigan. I have the honor of hosting the #1 car in my shop for a while. The #2 car is undergoing a complete restoration. We have hopes of having them both together next summer. Here is a little movie of them setting speed records.

I’m glad to hear John is restoring the number 2 car. That car set most of the speed records as I believe the number 1 car had transmission failure early in the run. I posted pictures here a while ago of when we found the number 2 car in Oak Park around 1980.

They ran the AMC20 rear ends and I know that they had a 2.87 ratio in 1968 but I am not sure if they ran that one or not.
I have posted up more information starting on page 4 over here. https://rebsamcandjeep.proboards.com...rations?page=4 Last edited by SC/397; 12-15-2021 at 11:35 AM. |

Thanks Tony. One other cool detail on the car was the seat which was done by Tony Nancy. I have a pic somewhere of his seahorse logo on it.
