Waterbury CT 1970 chevelle SS information wanted
Does anyone in the Waterbury CT area have any information on this 1970 chevelle SS. Apparently it was known around town as a 450hp car. The car was sold New in New Brian, CT and has stayed in CT until a few weeks ago. It has a 86 inspection sticker and seems to be pretty solid. Original color is code 55 Champaign Gold with a black bench seat interior. Car looks like it may have been black at some point. It has some NHRa Lebanon valley class winner stickers on the driver side back window. The car also looks like it was converted to a 4 speed at some point but is currently set back up for automatic. Any history on the car is greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

I see the 6500 tach & big single fuel line. What’s the build date of the car?

It’s a Baltimore car with a 02A first week February build date, tach cluster ink date is 122969, looked for a build sheet with no luck but I found a tiny piece under the hog ring leading me to believe it was removed at some point I’m hopping someone has a little more information on the car not maybe remebers seeing it back in the day.
Also the car has correct tach hole in firewall along with th400 kick down harnesss and kick down switch on the gas pedal. There’s definitely a lot of positive signs. I’m just hopping someone local Remebers the car or has information on it that might help. The peice clipped to the hog ring in the seat Ink date on circuit board on back of cluster. I think you mean New Britain for the city where car was sold. There is no New Brian, CT.
Can't help you with any info, as I lived in the Danbury area at that point in time. - Warren |
